Steady · Walker valet
Steady is a walker assistant that follows you through your home, keeps your walker where you need it, and places it by the bed before you go to sleep — without cameras, and without taking anything away from you.

How it works
Steady moves with you through your home — kitchen to living room, bedroom to bathroom — so the walker is always nearby.
When you sit down to cook or relax, Steady parks itself about five feet away. Close enough to reach; far enough to not be in the way.
A simple "wax-on" gesture brings the walker back to you. A "wax-off" gesture sends it away. No app, no voice command, no buttons.
~60%
of falls among older adults happen at home — in the rooms and routines most familiar to them.
3 in 4
people who fell were not using their walker at the time of the fall — even among those prescribed one.
57% vs 21%
serious fall rate among older adults who stopped using their assistive device — vs. those who used it consistently.
Every night
The goal is that you never have to think about where the walker is, even at 2am.
When you get up at night, Steady speaks to you to check for drowsiness — a quiet prompt before you take a step.
Steady lights up the room the moment you rise, illuminating your path to the bathroom so you can see where you're going.
Steady reminds you to take the walker, especially when you're in a rush or half-asleep and most likely to skip it.
80–90%
of adults over 80 wake at night to use the bathroom — nearly 30% do so twice or more.
2.4×
Bathroom falls are nearly two and a half times more likely to result in injury than falls elsewhere — making up nearly 1 in 4 serious ER falls.
63%
of toileting-related falls occur between midnight and 6am — vs. 17% of non-toileting falls in that same window.

The app
The Steady companion app shows walker-use consistency over time, floor-clutter trends in the rooms where falls most often happen, and fall-risk habits — so families have the information they need without having to ask for it.
Steady navigates using small tags on the walker and cane — not cameras. Your home stays private.
Steady notices floor clutter in your regular paths and flags it in the app so you or a family member can clear it.
