The client economics — and why you lose them
Your clients don't leave because they stopped needing you.
A typical private-pay client buys around 20 hours a week — roughly $2,700–3,200 a month — and that number is usually set by what the family can afford, not by what the parent needs. The hours you're not there are the exposure. A fall in that uncovered window — most often at night — is the single most common path to a hospitalization and then a facility. When that happens, you don't just lose a shift; you lose the client.
The opportunity: The Goose covers the overnight gap the family can't afford to staff with a person.
-
Your client stays safer in the hours you're not there — and stays out of a facility longer.
-
The family keeps your daytime hours longer.
-
You earn a margin as a channel partner on the night you were never staffing.
You keep the client longer, and you make money on the night you were never staffing.
Aide rates and the ~20-hour package: 2024 U.S. medians. Client tenure and fall-driven churn vary by agency — we'll look at yours together on the call, along with your margin.
Your caregivers
When clients stay, schedules hold.
Losing a client to a facility takes a caregiver's schedule with it. Every client who stays home keeps the visits and hours your caregivers already count on — the same client, the same schedule, month after month. That's steadier utilization across your roster, and one more reason your best caregivers stay.
Founding partners
Become a founding distribution partner.
What founding partners get:
-
Early and exclusive access in your market.
-
Founding-partner terms and a say in how the product develops.
-
A turnkey model — you bill, we install, we support — so it adds a line of service without adding a shift.
-
Co-marketing and hands-on onboarding.
The economics are specific to your market and your book of business, so we walk through them with you directly rather than posting a number that won't fit your situation.

We're selecting a small group of founding partners to bring the Goose to the clients they already serve. Tell us a little about your business and we'll set up a call to walk through the fit and the economics for your market.
How the partnership works
You bill. We install. We support.
It arrives as a complete service, not an IT project — the robot, installation, integration, and support. You bring your building or your clients; we bring the technology and the team. No hardware maintenance burden on your staff.
A real support model stands behind it — a team on call, defined response times, and a clear plan for the moment a unit needs attention. Your name is on the door; we treat it that way.
The robot
The Goose — the home safety assistant.
Agencies run the Goose, as a reseller / concierge service.
Keeps the walker where it's needed, places it by the bed at night, lights the path, flags trip hazards, and detects falls and alerts staff. If a client has been in the bathroom longer than usual and isn't responding, it calls their emergency contacts.
Liability, honestly: a robot that covers the unstaffable moment reduces your exposure to the fall no one reached in time. And because a device in someone's space raises its own questions, we address them directly — what it does, what it doesn't, and where a person is always in the loop. We'd rather have that conversation up front than sell around it.
Mobility metrics
The numbers a clinic visit can't catch.
A mobility assessment in a clinic is a snapshot — one walk, on a good day, under observation. The Goose measures the real thing every day, at home: the time from bed to the bedroom door, the round-trip time of a 2am bathroom trip, walking speed along the usual routes. The segments are configurable, and the trends build quietly in the background.
Bed to door
Time from rising to reaching the bedroom door.
Bathroom round trip
Door to door on the 2am trip — the one nobody else sees.
Time to answer the door
From the knock to the open door.
Walking speed
Pace along usual routes, measured passively — no test, no stopwatch.
Sit to stand
How long rising takes, and how it trends.
The Goose measures; your clinical team interprets. A slowing week might mean a physical-therapy referral or a medication review; a sustained one gives your team the trend to know — and justify — when it's time for a higher level of care. That judgment stays with your team, with objective numbers under it. Your care managers set the segments, and reports can go to the client's physical therapist or physician.
Shared only with the client's consent.
Why these numbers matter: in pooled cohort data, gait speed alone predicted survival in older adults as accurately as combined measures of age, sex, mobility aids, and self-reported function. Studenski et al., JAMA 2011
Autonomy: The Goose navigates on its own using onboard sensors and the tags on your walker. It does not use remote operators to drive it. Exact autonomy level and specifications will be published before launch.
